America’s Dog & Burger latest chain looking to expand in Region

April 19, 2017

Anyone who’s been to Navy Pier has likely at least passed by America’s Dog & Burgers.

The small chain, which also has locations in the Loop and O’Hare Airport, is now hunting for franchisees in the Merrillville area.

Owners Manolis and George Alpogianis want to add 30 more franchises across Chicagoland, from Southeast Wisconsin through Northwest Indiana.

“After 23 years of proven success in the world’s culinary epicenter, it is clear that America’s Dog & Burger is in position for growth,” Manolis Alpogianis said. We’re franchising our distinctive concept into neighborhoods with a strong sense of community and a love for fresh, indulgent meals and Merrillville fits that mold perfectly.”

America’s Dog & Burgers sells different regional styles of hot dogs from around the country, such as the Santa Fe Hot Dog that features bacon, cotija cheese, chipotle aioli, caramelized onions and beer-battered jalapeno caps on a Texas toast roll.

The owners hope to grow the brand that’s known for its “Taste the Best from East to West” slogan nationally. They are searching for franchisees who can invest $289,800 in a location.
